Appointed in July 2017 to define the organisation’s strategic direction, Wayne Crase has been instrumental in returning the business to a healthy surplus while developing a future roadmap for the association. Against the backdrop of regulatory change and increasingly complex needs, he is committed to building a truly client-centric organisation for the people of North Queensland.
Prior to his executive career, Wayne served in the Australian Defence Force for 15 years. Learning the values of respect, integrity, teamwork and excellence and the importance of uniting teams in challenging environments around a shared vision, he has shaped a strong leadership style that centres on inclusion and collaboration. Since then, Wayne has transitioned into the commercial sector, transforming and mobilising multimillion-dollar service contracts with market leaders including Macquarie Telecom, Serco Sodexo and Brookfield Global Integrated Solutions.
Having transformed the financial health of ECCLI in just a year, he is now focused on investing in client care packages, eliminating entry, administration and exit fees while building a sustainable and scalable business model for the future.
Wayne is a Chartered Manager (CMgr), Fellow of the Institute of Management and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a Non-Executive Director of Catholic Schools Parents Australia (CSPA)and current Chair of Catholic Schools Parents Queensland (CSPQ).
